During term 1 we all had a fun time deciding how to design our robot. In our first session we met with the group members from 6B (Lily and Georgia.J) and had to join all of our ideas together. This took quite a bit of compromising, however in the end, the robot turned out magnificent. In the next session we continued working on the design of our robot and drew the plans. Although we had some complications along the way, we got through it and kept working. I think our group worked extremely well during this stressful period and our finished product of the robot, the plans ect. was certainly better than we expected. We thought we would have many more arguments we seemed to work well altogether. I hope we get a good mark as we definitly tried our best. Today we came across a complication!! It turns out that while the other group were using the robot, it completely collapsed and unfortunately we had to re bulid the robot from scratch will last years design. NOW THAT WAS A MAJOR SET BACK! My group missed a few robotics lessons as most of us were at CaSAP. This is unfortunate as we were behind even more! This resulted in spending our lunch times in the library to finish it. We eventually finished building the robot after more hard times and are now starting our dance. Today our group came to an agreement to make our song Fatboy Slim~ Praise You.We have made a few rough ideas for the first 30 seconds of our song. Now we have started to put together our dance. We have listened to our song numerous times and have now timed everything as best we can. We have added a snake, shimy and turn. Due day is coming up soon, we are soo nervous!! we had a little problem today, but after some fiddling we fixed it. Tomorrow is due day and we are just about done. We had to come up at second lunch to make a few adjustments. Unfortunatley we were one man down as Bethany is not feeling well. Renae and I are getting through it, but are worried this will cost us! We also finished our costume and its ready to go for tomorrow! I'm hoping we do ok in our final assesment. In the song we chose, there is a really hard part to work with and our moves are close to the beat, but I don't think they are close enough. We all have absolutely enjoyed robtics, so now all there is to do is wait until test day! Test Day Today was test day, we were extremely scared and worried. We put our costume on, got the music ready and left the rest to our robot. Thankfully we heard great comments and vere very well congratulated. However we are feeling a little up set because this was our last chance to use our robot!! Thanks Robo!! YOU WERE GREAT!!
